1. The Way And Error of Balaam
To understand this modern-day transgression, we must look to the Old Testament figure, the false prophet Balaam. He was a prophet with a true gift from God, but his heart was corrupted by greed.
11. Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
15. Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
Jude 1:11 & 2 Peter 2:15
When King Balak offered him great wealth to curse the Israelites, Balaam was tempted. Though God initially forbade him, Balaam persisted, hoping to find a way to profit from his prophetic gift. His error wasn't a lack of divine connection but a fatal flaw of character: he coveted a reward for his prophecy.
He ultimately used his divine insight not for God's glory, but for personal gain, and his story serves as a timeless warning against the lure of material wealth in spiritual matters.
Today's greedy pastors follow this very same path. They may speak eloquently of God's grace and blessings, but their true message is thinly veiled behind a constant, insistent plea for money.
They use emotional manipulation and fear-mongering, promising blessings for those who give and subtly threatening misfortune for those who don't.
2. A Warning To The Flock: A Deep Call For Discernment And Purity In The Body Christ
The Body of Christ, the Church is infected and deceased with corruption of sin, greed and lasciviousness.
Once we see a huge trend of pastors and preachers only in the pulpit to call for gold in their begs from the sheep of God is wickedness and great sin in the eyes of God. They have turned the grace of God into a license for immorality and greed.
Now the sheep has to go and get money for the pastor to sustain his luxurious lifestyle that is cloaked with the gospel. You will scarcely find a church sermon that does not include that words of planting a seed and giving to God (it starts and ends with money)!
The have just forgotten that last week you gave all of your living income while they promised great increase in return. The get more richer while the flock is left with poverty that they claim to brake and curse. Now people, both believers and non-believers see the gospel as a fund raising machine for a man behind the pulpit.
The Church is moving around with filthy garments that are stained with greed!
We are now much worse than the Pharisees and Scribes and Lawyers that the Lord whipped in the Temple and publicly refuted and exposed because of their greed and hypocrisy! The time for the Church to repent for her sins of imitating the errors of Balaam has come. and God is not joking and playing around when it comes to purity and contentment.
6. But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:6-10
1. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
2 Peter 2:1-3
(1 Timothy 6:6-10 & 2 Peter 2:1-3)
The situation that we are in today as the Body of Christ we are like exactly the Church of Sardis: and no matter how we may think we are DEAD in the eyes of God, what now is left of us is to acknowledge our sins and repent before death overcomes us...
1. And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3. Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Revelation 3:1-3
Do not be fooled by anyone, no money or wealth can save or your soul from death: get all the body guards that you may want; eat the most healthiest food; and gain all the riches and wealth you want; but when the time has come you finished.
The biggest problem is not that they do not know that they are robbing the flock of God...no...they know what they are doing and the consequences of their corruption; they just comfort themselves by saying I am nor alone and the one doing this, other famous preachers and doing and succeeding so while should they want to make life hard for themselves!...
In other words, as long as it is the norm and trend of today then what they are doing is after all right and nothing wrong.
That is what the nation of Israel thought when God was always warning them, sending prophets all day long for them to repent and amend their wicked ways but they ignored Him, believing that God is merciful and loving; they said that we are not the only obe doing this then we will continue because everyone is doing it!
But one thing that they fail to understand is that God is not a man and neither are His ways their way. And what men highly esteem and looks right in the eyes of the Lord is an abomination unto Him: what we love the mist is great abomination in His eyes; and except we repent we shall perish!
Jesus - what man highly esteem....
12. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Proverbs 14:12
1. There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
3. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
4. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5. I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:1-5
(Proverbs 14:12 & Luke 13:1-5)
There are many warnings in the Bible that warn and teach us how to discern the wolves and greedy dogs so that we come out of there before we become their victims and suffer painful things that will shipwreck your faith, make you to see God with an evil, and ultimately being cursed by offering your money to demons indirectly; because many ministers of Satan are almost in every church ready to steal, kill, and destroy!
We need discernment to differentiate what is true and false, because at the end of the day it is your responsibility to make sure that you are not deceived by anyone....
If you live your life according ro what is popular and trending then I am afraid you are careless and doomed, wake up this is real life not some old-women tales that people who are lazy to read their Bibles fall for. You only live once and that is your life, so be very careful in this very evil and generation of today that is programmed to lead you astray.
People want God to be the way the want, but it does not work and neither does it work according to any mens will but according to His Word. Whether you believe it or not God has nothing to lose and neither will He change his ways for anyone, the best thing to do is to obey and do his will.
If not, know that Hell is full of mature christians who have way greater things than you can do in your life, and they are now crying for mercy and forgiveness because of their carelessness. ignorance and greed!
Discernment is vital for your spiritual life, so go ahead and discern, because the Devil is not going anywhere and neither is that pulpit going to be short of wolves and greedy pulpit beggars; the Devil is increasing them all over the world to make sure that the when he is finished of robbing, steal and killing the Church; he will ultimately send it to Hell Fire, wake up!
3. Biblical Examples of Greed's Downfall
The story of Balaam is not an isolated incident. Throughout the Scriptures, God provides cautionary tales of those who sought to use their divine calling for personal enrichment, and each story serves as a stark reminder of the consequences.
These 4 biblical figures, like modern-day pulpit beggars, misused their privileged positions and divine connections for personal gain.
Their stories serve as a timeless lesson: chasing after mammon in the name of God is a perilous and ultimately destructive path.
2. Gehazi: The Servant Who Chased Wealth
Gehazi was the faithful servant of the prophet Elisha, who had been an eyewitness to God's miraculous power.
After Elisha healed Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army, Naaman offered Elisha a generous gift, which the prophet refused, wanting to demonstrate that God's power is not for sale. But Gehazi, driven by his own avarice, secretly ran after Naaman and lied, claiming that Elisha had changed his mind.
He took two talents of silver and two sets of clothes (2 Kings 5:20-24). His deception was exposed by the Holy Spirit, and his punishment was immediate and severe: he was struck with the very leprosy that Naaman had been healed from.
Gehazi's life was ruined because he valued material possessions over his integrity and his sacred calling.
3. Ananias and Sapphira: The Lie to the Holy Spirit
In the early church, people were selling their possessions and laying the proceeds at the apostles' feet to care for the poor.
Ananias and Sapphira sold a piece of property but kept a portion of the money for themselves. While there was no command to give up everything, their sin was not in holding back a portion but in their pretense of giving everything (Acts 5:1-11).
They wanted the praise and recognition of being seen as generous, while secretly clinging to their wealth. When confronted, they lied to the Holy Spirit and fell down dead. Their punishment was a powerful message to the early church: God despises hypocrisy and the love of money, especially when it is cloaked in piety.
These biblical figures, like modern-day pulpit beggars, misused their privileged positions and divine connections for personal gain.
Their stories serve as a timeless lesson: chasing after mammon in the name of God is a perilous and ultimately destructive path.Gehazi was the faithful servant of the prophet Elisha, who had been an eyewitness to God's miraculous power.
4. The Shepherd of Ezekiel 34: The Shearing of the Flock
The prophet Ezekiel delivered one of the most powerful and damning condemnations of greedy spiritual leaders in the entire Bible.
In Ezekiel 34, God directly addresses the "shepherds of Israel" with a blistering rebuke. He accuses them not of physical harm, but of a spiritual and material exploitation of the very flock they were meant to protect.
God says, "You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat animals, but you do not feed the sheep."This passage perfectly describes the modern-day pulpit beggar.
The greedy shepherd, just like today's pastor, doesn't care for the sick or search for the lost. Instead, their entire focus is on what they can extract from the congregation—the "wool" and "fat." They are not feeding the sheep with sound doctrine or spiritual nourishment; they are feeding themselves at the sheep's expense.
The result, as God warns, is a scattered and vulnerable flock, left to wander aimlessly and become prey. God's response is swift and certain: He declares that He himself will become the shepherd of His flock, taking His sheep away from the greedy leaders who have exploited them.
This serves as a divine promise that God will hold accountable those who use His name for personal gain.
4. The Devastating Damage to the Church
The corruption of greedy pastors does far more than just empty the pockets of their followers; it inflicts deep and lasting wounds on the Body of Christ.
This love of money at the pulpit has a cascading effect, undermining the very foundation of faith and trust.
<>   The Top 3 Devastating Damages:
-
1. The Scattering of the Flock:
As warned in Ezekiel, when shepherds fail to feed the sheep, the flock scatters. People who have been exploited by a greedy pastor often become disillusioned with the entire institution of the church.
They may stop attending services, lose faith in spiritual leadership, and even walk away from their relationship with God altogether, feeling betrayed and used. This spiritual homelessness leaves them vulnerable and unguided, precisely what God warns against. -
2. The Gospel is Distorted:
The focus on wealth and prosperity replaces the core message of the Gospel—the saving grace of Jesus Christ. The cross, with its message of sacrifice, humility, and servanthood, is traded for a worldly "gospel of gain" that promises health, wealth, and earthly success.
This distortion turns Christianity into a self-centered pursuit of blessings rather than a selfless life of discipleship, ultimately leading believers away from true spiritual maturity. -
3. The Reputation of the Church is Tarnished:
The actions of a few greedy pastors cast a long shadow on the entire Christian community. The world looks on and sees hypocrisy, exploitation, and materialism, leading to a deep cynicism toward the church.
This makes it incredibly difficult to reach the lost, as the credibility of the Gospel is questioned and a barrier of mistrust is erected. The integrity of the faith is compromised, and the powerful, life-changing message of Jesus is reduced to a sales pitch.
There you have it, I hope your eyes are now opened of how the corruption of greedy pastors does far more than just empty the pockets of their followers, PEOPLE END UP LOSING THEIR OWN LIVES!...
5. Conclusion: The Way Forward
... A lot has been said in this article, and are I am fully convinced that many will see their short comings and sins and repent before it is too late....
In this article we have only touched few things, trust me they are many that would require books to be written, but we made it simple and clear for christians to be aware of these wolves that so not care about our Lord Jesus and His Body, the Church.
Many people have been affected one way or the other; many even died in their greed as we have seen in the story about Judas Iscariot, Gehazi, even in the Apostles time, the story of Ananias and Her wife Sapphira scandal!
Many may assume that they were fools especially when it comes JudasIscariot: many think that he was really a fool and that he should have sold the Lord Jesus for a way higher price than the one he asked for....
But the painful thing is that they fall for the same thing that he fell for. To God greed is greed it does not matter how much you get: you just do not seem to be satisfied and get enough. It is a demon spirit that forces to sin against God until the day you die!...
The time to wake up has now arrived and it is time that you stop doing what is popular but deadly and dangerous to your life, let alone being wicked in the eyes of the Lord!
Your Life is worth more than the things that you have, so protect it and make sure that you are not deceived by anyone—you only live once!
The way for is first to repent from your iniquities (sin including hidden one's) and decide once and for all that you will no longer preach the Gospel for many whether directly and indirectly; teach yourself to sit down and read the Bible because that is how these wolves and pulpit beggars rob and steal from you—read your Bible to be equipped to discern the devices of the Devil and his ministers.
The third step, would be to leave that synagogue of Satan were his sit is, every penny you offer there you are growing and support the Devil's kingdom to destroy lives, wake up and GET OUT OF THAT TEMPLE OF JEZEBEL! If you do not its your own fault, stop making excuses because this is your life we are talking about her: let them laugh, ridicule and curse you all they want, but you will live and God will be with you, Amen!
Do not be afraid, in Egypt like the children of Israel is only bondage and slavery!
The answer is not to abandon the church entirely, no no! But to seek out true shepherds who also practice what they preach. Look for leaders who model humility, servant leadership, and a genuine love for God and His people. if your serious about your life you will not compromise...
A faithful pastor will focus on preaching the transformative power of the cross, nurturing the spiritual growth of their congregation, and serving the community, not on building their own personal empire.
The church is meant to be a refuge, not a marketplace. Therefore do not be partakers with them or any one no matter the cost, you are not going to live forever you know! So make the choice now and ask God to give you the grace to overcome, in the Name of Christ Jesus!
Let us be a flock that is wise and discerning, able to separate the golden altar of greed from the humble cross of Christ, hallelujah! Do not be fooled these pulpit beggars the know very well that they are not going to Heaven, so they are enjoy themselves as much as they can with the poor flock of God and the most vulnerable people that they can find to exploit and rob.
In doing so, we not only protect ourselves from the error of Balaam but also honor the true purpose of the Church: to glorify God and to be a light in a dark world.
I hope that this has blessed you greatly, and may the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you; lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen!
The Great King is ready and coming READY FOR HIM AND LET NO ONE STEAL YOUR CROWN, Aan and Amen!
Give you life to God today and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Pray this simple repentance prayer now and you shall be saved!
Do not wait for tomorrow do it right now while you still have the opportunity!
